Each year Computer Science and Software Engineering (CSSE) students participate in group software development projects. These projects give students real-world experience while still in an educational environment. We are seeking customers who have software problems that need to be solved. Typically, 20 to 25 teams of four CSSE students each will select one of the proposed projects each. The project will be completed over an academic year and entail the software lifecycle; starting with requirements gathering in the fall and culminating in delivery of the system in the Spring quarter. At the Rose Expo in May, teams demonstrate their new products to sponsors, fellow students, faculty, and the public. This is a significant milestone for students as they embark on their careers. Note that these are educational experiences for our students and the projects offer the opportunity for clients to work with students and receive the fruits of their labor – software.
