Dayu Sun is assistant professor in the Biostatistics and Health Data Science at Indiana University School of Medicine. Previously, he was a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics at Emory University. Sun’s research interests include: (1) high-dimensional tensor data analysis with application to multimodal neuroimaging data; joint analysis of intermittently observed longitudinal data and complex time-to-event data, including right-censored and interval-censored survival data; and panel count data, statistical analysis for mental health studies, criminology and clinical trials.
Since joining IU, Dr. Sun’s research projects have resulted in two publications, two abstract submissions, and three working papers. The funding from AnalytiXIN has assisted Dr. Sun with establishing connections and identifying collaborative opportunities within academia and industry by supporting research development and conference attendance. Most recently, Dr. Sun attended the Midwest Biopharmaceutical Statistics Workshop, to meet with researchers with various backgrounds, which has sparked some initiation of potential research projects including continuing and new projects with Eli Lilly and Company.
