Dr. Boehm is a behavioral neuroscientist in the area of drug and alcohol addiction by training. He works with mice as model systems. However, as Executive Director of the IU Institute for Human Health and Wellbeing he also directs large multidisciplinary research teams in the broad areas of (1) Mental Health and Addiction, (2) Environment and Health, (3) Physical Activity and Health, and (4) Digital Health. Work across these areas spans bench to bedside and beyond and includes faculty from disciplines across the IU Indianapolis campus, including informatics, computer science, biomedical engineering, medicine, and public health.
