Previous Event
In August 2024, more than 80 industry and academic leaders collaborated on AI and advanced analytics challenges. During the summit, 8 industry-university projects were launched including partnerships with key industry leaders such as Lilly, Elevance Health, Langham Logistics, and more. Join us next year for the 2025 summit–details coming in the New Year!
“This Summit brought together one of the most diverse, thoughtful, and motivated groups of individuals across industry and academia that I’ve seen. The selection of individuals representing their organizations seemed to be done with care and intention. Furthermore, there was adequate time and appropriate forums and spaces that encouraged conversation, collaboration, ideation, and debate. Someone had remarked during their presentation that this Summit, unlike other events, had all the right people, at the right time, in the right place to really make a spark and make something happen. The objectives of the Summit were clear, and the discussions were energizing – my hope is that we can carry through this great momentum.”
“I appreciated the carved-out time to collaborate. Most conferences I have attended have just been speakers for hours (i.e., just being talked at). I feel like this also led to more natural conversations and networking as people broke the get-to-know-you barrier during the collaborative working session.”
“Faculty was very specific and focused on clearly defined constraints, which is not how I am used to thinking of a problem. So that was a great way to look at these giant problems and realize they can be carved up and solved in a fairly methodical way.”
“During the summit, the challenge was described in a way that allowed us to work on and engage in technical conversations immediately, but this seemed to be a misunderstanding of the nature of the challenge on our end. We instead discussed the larger potential of the relationship and realized we didn’t need to limit the scope of the problem to just a single day. We could work on the problem over a longer period, establishing a fruitful relationship in the process.”
